“Just look at that crackling!”

“Just look at that crackling!”

We’ve seen the Kmart pie maker frenzy but now everyone is talking about their air fryers which seem to cook just about everything to perfection.

From puff pastry desserts to the crispiest chips, every home cook is loving the retail outlet’s air fryer.

One woman wowed the internet when she made “the best pork belly ever” in her 5.3L air fryer, complete with sensational crackling.

“I got the machine today and set to work making the best pork belly I've ever had,” she shared on Facebook.

Alongside images of the tasty looking roast, the woman explained that she prepped the pork belly by scoring the skin, added oil and salt and left uncovered in the fridge for five hours to help dry out the skin.

Afterwards she poured over boiling water and patted dry before adding more salt and placing in the air fryer alongside water at the bottom to keep the pork moist and juicy.

“Place the pork in the air fryer at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes and then change the temperature to 160 degrees Celsius for a further 40 minutes,” she said.

“That looks delicious! And just look at that crackling,” one person commented on the post.

“When you’re cooking roast pork or other fatty foods. Place flattened slices of bread under the basket and the dripping fat won’t heat up and smoke!” advised one more.

“I'm waiting for more air fryer to arrive and I can't wait!” mentioned another.

We’ll be trying this one for sure. Can’t wait!
