DeLuca Toyota will host a food event this week to benefit local families who are struggling during the holidays.

The 36th annual "Share Your Christmas" food event will be held at the Ocala dealership (1719 SW College Road) on Thursday, December 9th from 6 am to 1 pm

Each donation will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank for distribution to the hungry and unfortunate residents of Marion County.

The most needed items include canned fruits (non-sweetened varieties), canned vegetables, cereals (rice, pasta, biscuits), ready-to-eat cereals, oatmeal, canned meat and fish (salmon or tuna), canned or dried beans, peanut butter , Canned soup (reduced sodium varieties), canned chili, nutritious drinks (Ensure, Boost, etc.), baby food, diapers and toiletries (soap, shampoo, shaving cream, etc.).

All donated toiletries must be unopened and stored separately from food.

The annual fundraising event is hosted by Orlando TV station WESH 2. They will be broadcast live during the fundraising event.
