Powdered milk, canned meat, rice, cooking oil and beans are the food items on which the government plans to spend the R50 million donation to Cuba in order to assist the country with its growing humanitarian crisis.

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Naledi Pandor said Cuba requested South Africa's help due to food and medical supply shortages.
