With more than a month to go before Christmas, restaurants and cafes in Leicester and other areas have launched tempting holiday menus-from turkey roast dinners and homemade meat pies to battered pigs and blankets wrapped in blankets. Holiday Hamburg.

One of the places to launch a Christmas menu this week is the fast food chain McDonald’s, which has a branch in Leicestershire.

I haven't eaten McDonald's for a while, and I have never tried holiday food from any chain store before.

So, I decided to go for a drive at Fosse Park restaurant to have a Maccies-style Friday festive feast.

What's on the menu?

There are seven kinds of food on the Christmas menu, including two new burgers-Festive Stack and Festive Crispy Chicken.

Festive Stack consists of two 100% British and Irish beef patties, topped with red onion sauce, white cheese sauce, bacon, crispy onions, red onions, lettuce and cheddar cheese, in a glazed brioche style In the bread.

Festive Crispy Chicken consists of crispy chicken breast, cranberry sauce, sage and onion mayonnaise, bacon, red onion, lettuce and cheddar cheese, served in glazed poppy and sesame bread.

Both burgers can be used alone or as part of a meal with a drink.

Returning to the menu is the melted cheese dipper-breaded Camembert cheese with a rich tomato sauce.

Speaking of sweets, the minced meat and custard festive pies that have not appeared on the Christmas menu since 2016 are back. There is also Celebrations McFlurry, featuring ice cream with Maltesers clusters, Galaxy chocolate drops, caramel cubes, Mars chewy cubes and Twix biscuits with milk chocolate sauce on top.

In addition, there are two new McCafe drinks-Chocolate Fudge Latte and Hot Chocolate Deluxe Edition.

How do they taste?

When I was shopping for myself and my husband, I decided to order one from the new Christmas menu.

Unfortunately, when I started placing orders through drive-through speakers, the staff told me that there were no McFlurries available. So, since the celebratory desserts that sounded so delicious were no longer popular, I ordered two festive pies. Fortunately, everything else is available.

We had a festive set meal with medium fries and chocolate fudge latte (£7.09, including 70 pence upgrade fee for latte) and festive crispy chicken rice with medium fries and hot chocolate luxury set meal (£6.59, including 20 pence upgrade fee) hot chocolate).

We shared burgers and drinks so that we can all taste all the new products.

We all agree that Festive Stack is our two favorite burgers, offering a balanced combination of flavors. The outstanding ingredient for me is the festive sweet red onion sauce, which pairs well with lean meat, delicious patties and crispy onions, adding a crunchy texture to the burger.

Bacon, white cheese sauce, red onion, lettuce and melted cheddar cheese all add flavor to the burger, and the brioche-style bread is delicious and fresh.

Served in glazed poppy and sesame buns, I really like the crispy chicken slices in the holiday crispy chicken burger, and most of the extra fillings work well-cranberry sauce, bacon, red onion, Lettuce and cheddar cheese.

However, although I can appreciate the festive connection of sage and onion mayonnaise, I don't particularly like its taste. To me, it seems very vinegar.

Cheese Melt Dippers (£1.99 for four) are very good. Wrapped in crunchy breadcrumbs, the large pieces of Camembert are very sticky and go well with the accompanying rich tomato sauce.

The idea of adding minced meat and custard to the pies attracted me, so I was really looking forward to trying the holiday pies (£1.19 each).

Similar to the apple pie on McDonald's regular menu, the holiday pie is a rectangular hot crunch pie.

The holiday version is full of minced meat and custard, and we all think this is a good combination. We also like the appearance of crispy pastries.

We think that Choco Fudge Latte and Hot Chocolate Deluxe taste good. However, when I removed the lid of the drink, I was a bit disappointed and found that there were no toppings in the picture (that is, the flavor of cream and chocolate fudge is poured on the latte, the cream and chocolate are sprinkled on the cup of hot cocoa).

You might not eat it for Christmas lunch, but we enjoyed McDonald’s first holiday feast and would be happy to eat most of the food again.

Our meal cost £18.05, which made us feel full and I think it's good value for money.

If you want to enjoy delicious, fast and inexpensive food this Christmas, then Maccies' festive meal will be very attractive.
