Where to eat your last meal of 2021: New Year’s Eve dinners at metro Phoenix restaurants

For your last meal of 2021, why not go out with a delicious bang before belting out Auld Lang Syne? Restaurants around the Valley are offering lavish, no-holds-barred tour de force feasts to make the final bites and sips of the year memorable. Menus are available exclusively on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, and reservations are highly recommended.

Here are 18 restaurants offering special New Year's Eve dinners around metro Phoenix.

From Dec. 29 to 31, you can enjoy an eight-course holiday tasting menu ($399, wine pairings for an additional $350) featuring highlights like a soup of Red Cow Parmesan with Italian white truffles, roasted chestnuts and black winter truffles ravioli, Ossetra caviar crepe, Wagyu and foie gras, butter roasted lobster and other surprises from chef Christopher Gross. Reservations are required.

At Renata’s Hearth, a four-course menu ($190) will be served with seatings from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature options like smoked chicken tamales, salsa macha marinated turkey, pastel de quinoa, yuca mash, abuelita chocolate mousse cake and more. The Biltmore's Frank & Albert’s restaurant will be offering a la carte specials from 5 p.m. to midnight.

A five-course menu will be served at seatings starting at 6 p.m. ($100) and at 8:30 p.m. ($125). Highlights include Dungeness crab bisque served with smoked trout roe crostini, baby arugula with grapefruit, beet, whipped goat cheese and mesquite honey, organic chicken roulade served with foie gras and mushroom bread pudding and charred broccolini, roasted prime beef loin with crispy beef belly, tallow whipped potato and asparagus and a trio of flourless cake, strawberry gelato and champagne cheesecake.

A three-course dinner ($95) begins with a choice of roasted heirloom carrots or crab cake, followed by a choice of flat iron steak with preserved lemon roasted broccolini and heirloom potatoes, seared sea scallops with roasted fennel and charred onion risotto or a vegetable plate of roasted fennel and charred onion risotto, sherry roasted mushrooms, spinach and parsnip chips. Chocolate decadence cake or citrus olive oil cake will be served for dessert.

Starting at 9 p.m., the Spritz & Glitz celebration at the Plaza Bar will feature a table and fire pit experience ($300-$1,000, based on table capacity) that includes walk-up bars, photo opportunities, a holiday craft beverage menu, party favors, a fumar cigar experience and a 10 p.m. fireworks show. Guests will receive champagne splits, premium bottle service and stationary canapes including smoked pork rillettes with pickled red onion and pumpernickel baguette, compressed melon tiradito with yuzu kosho ponzu, puffed forbidden rice and daikon, hiramasa crudo, beef carpaccio of pepper crusted beef tenderloin with whole grain mustard aioli on herb lavosh, chocolate honeycomb, duck fat financier with grand marnier ganache candied citrus and strawberry champagne verrine. A four-course, prix-fixe dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. ($275, includes a champagne greeting ) and 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. ($300, includes a champagne greeting, party favors and admission to the Jade Bar New Year’s Eve celebration). Menu highlights of both seatings include roasted sunchoke and white truffle risotto and charred Spanish octopus, Maine lobster bisque, honey roasted heirloom beets, roasted rack of lamb, miso glazed Chilean sea bass, Maple Leaf Farm duck, slow braised beef short rib and vegan-friendly Moroccan spiced delicata squash. A four-course menu will be served at 6:30 p.m. ($159) and 9:30 p.m. ($199) and will feature an amuse-bouche of kuri squash soup followed by beet cured hamachi with ponzu, a leek and mushroom tart with chive vinaigrette and Wagyu turf and turf with crispy Brussels sprouts. Valrhona chocolate opera torte with mascarpone gelato is dessert. The 9:30 p.m. seating includes party favors and a midnight champagne toast.

A seven-course White and Black New Year’s Eve tasting menu with champagne ($155) includes osetra caviar with quail egg and citrus crème fraiche, winter salad or black trumpet mushroom bisque, choice of Bristol bay scallop and calamari or miso black cod, an intermezzo of blackberry champagne sorbetto, roasted veal tenderloin or prime beef tenderloin rossini, black sesame cake with yogurt mousse and black and white framboise. From 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a five-course menu ($250) includes favorites such as hamachi crudo, beef tenderloin steak tartare, lamb chops, black truffle risotto, fire-roasted seafood tower, fire-seared branzino, Chicago classic boneless ribeye and sides for the table. Dessert choices include a chocolate bomb, coconut cream pie and orange cranberry mousse. Enjoy the menu from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ($300) along with caviar and a complimentary midnight champagne toast.

A '60s theme will provide the backdrop for this festive meal and complimentary champagne will be poured all night long by waitstaff dressed as vintage "bunnies." A six-course dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. ($135) and at 9 p.m. ($175) and will feature dishes such as tuna tartare, winter squash bisque, filet mignon over a wild mushroom gratin and Portobello steak.

A four-course meal ($89) will begin with a salad followed by a choice of caprese bufala and prosciutto, fiori fritti or sautèed mussels, clams and shrimp. The main course options include pan seared Chilean sea bass, ravioli lobster or filet mignon. Tiramisu or cannoli will be served for dessert.

Starting at 5 p.m., a four-course menu ($180) starts with an amuse bouche of smoked salmon and caviar on buckwheat blinis paired with a glass of champagne. For the rest of the meal, choose from dishes including: seared la bella foie gras with an orange peel brioche, hamachi with buddha's hand lemon and amarillo dressing, steak tartare with red pepper egg yolk, filet rossini truffle bordelaise with crispy sunchokes and winter truffle, local guinea hen with herbs Provence and confit crepinette kumquat and Asian pear, Chilean sea bass and sunchoke puree with crispy brussel leaves with beluga lentils and verjus and a rosemary smoked lamb rack with gnocchi and heirloom cauliflower. The signature Francine apple tart with vanilla bean ice cream will be served for dessert.

From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. the annual Keeler's New Year’s Eve Gala will start with an elaborate buffet dinner ($125) featuring favorites such as steak, salmon and sea bass, as well as a prime rib and spiral cut ham carving station, crustacean station and dessert and coffee station. It also includes two drink tickets, bottomless champagne, live entertainment and champagne toast at 10 p.m. Advance purchase reservations are required and can be made by calling the restaurant directly.

A three-course dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. ($89) and at 9:30 p.m. ($109) and includes party favors, a sparkling wine toast and live music. Dinner options include toasted corn Pullman bread with herbed Crow’s Dairy chevre mousse, Chinese-style cornish game hen with wilted garlic Swiss chard and parsnip puree, Lobster Newburg with paprika cream sauce basmati and wild rice, mushroom dusted beef petite tenderloin with feta and olive orzo pasta and charred broccolini and cashew ricotta cannelloni. Dessert options are rum and vanilla canele, pear crostata and persimmon torte. Pre-paid reservations are required.

Feeling adventurous? The Surprise Seven-Course Community Dinner ($90, $110 with alcohol pairings) is returning this year with a a feast of mystery dishes. The meal begins at 6:30 p.m. on the patio and seating is extremely limited, so reservations are required.

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., a four-course dinner ($85) will commence with a kumamoto oyster amuse followed by cured Scottish salmon, Cedar River prime rib with blue crab, wild mushroom with cheese tortellini, monkfish, Peruvian potato and caviar and chocolate hazelnut mousse. Reservations are required.

Dine-in customers can enjoy an eight-ounce prime rib or six-ounce filet mignon paired with an Atlantic lobster tail and a choice of two sides ($36.99). The meal includes prosecco splits and Black Angus branded champagne sippers. To-go dinners for two ($110) or four ($220) feature filet mignon, lobster tails, a starter, sides, molasses bread, dessert and prosecco splits.
